Warren Haynes, guitarist and former member of The Allman Brothers Band as well as his own band Gov’t Mule will play a live stream benefit concert tonight (June 4). The show is scheduled to start at 7:20 PM (EST). This is a benefit for the Apollo Theater in NYC. Guitarist Gary Clark Jr. will also be performing. Information on the theater’s website states:
“In response to the pandemic and the cancellation of Apollo-produced live events through the month of June, the Apollo has established an emergency relief fund to financially stabilize the Theater and safeguard its future. In addition, a portion of the funds raised will be allocated for micro grants to support local merchants and small businesses in the 125th Street neighborhood impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The Theater is accepting donations during the Covid-19 pandemic and during the show as well. You can make a donation here.

“Thanks to Gibson’s incredible generosity, we are pleased to auction two limited issue guitars from their custom shop to benefit the Apollo Theater. Like the Apollo, Gibson has been synonymous with creating, shaping, delivering, inspiring, and owning the ‘share of sound.’ And like the Apollo, it believes in the benefits and power of music.”
To win the guitar, you must be the winning bidder. You can bid one the guitars here.
More information on the Apollo Theater can be found on their website.
