May 15, 2020. Alt/Hard Rockers The Pretty Reckless have released a new single from their forthcoming album: “Death by Rock and Roll.” The self-titled single is the first official release from an album since 2016’s “Who You Selling For?” The album is due to be released later this year and is their first since signing with Fearless Records last month.
The band has been on hiatus since 2017 due to the passing of Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, which had a devastating effect on singer Taylor Momsen. The band has not toured since that time. They also suffered the loss of their longtime producer, Kato Khandwala in a motorcycle accident in 2018.
The Pretty Reckless was formed in 2012 and features Momsen on vocals and rhythm guitar, Ben Philips on lead guitar, Mark Damon on Bass and Jamie Perkins on drums. The band has had their first four mainstream singles hit No. 1 on Billboard‘s rock chart, which set a record for a female-fronted rock band.
Check out the guitar-driven goodness below. We will post a video of the song as soon as it becomes available. Check back here for an update.
