(July 18, 2020) Well, sort of: Congratulations are in order for Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner and his girlfriend, Mariah Lynch. The baby girl was born on July 8th. This would be good news on its own and congratulations but check this out: Lynch is the daughter of Dokken/Lynch Mob shredding superstar George Lynch. That’s right folks; you are looking at Rock and Roll royalty!
Now, creating a potential Rock and Roll superstar is nothing new. It is a known fact that when Melissa Etheridge wanted to have a baby with her partner, they asked none other than David Crosby (of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and The Byrds fame) to sire their child, and so he did. Cher and Duane Allman had a son – Elijah Blue as a result of their brief marriage in the seventies. And don’t forget, Mamas and the Papas singer/songwriter John Phillips is the father of MacKenzie Phillips. Um, well, OK, moving on…
This pregnancy and birth were kept to a low profile – the only news of it came in an Instagram post from granddaddy George. While the baby’s name has not been announced yet the couple created a gift registry on Target’s website (that has since been deleted.) As a courtesy to the proud parents and because of the child’s lineage we have disguised the baby’s face so that she cannot be exploited. George can be seen playing “Mr. Scary” in the background. The dog was not available for comment.
(UPDATE 7/21/2020) Lynch posted an updated picture yesterday:
According to Richie: “The baby has not made the “devil horns” gesture yet but we are hoping…”
Congrats to Richie, Mariah and George!
What Rock and Roll lullaby would you like George and Richie to play for baby Faulkner?
