December 4, 2020 – Punk/Hard Rockers Badflower have declared that Christmas is canceled this year. To mark this non-event, they will play a livestream concert on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Labeled the “#Christmas is Canceled” show, five dollars from every ticket sold will benefit music venues in select cities. A press release for the show states: “Since #ChristmasIsCanceled this year, join us for an evening of music and misery – it loves company and we miss yours.”
Badflower was formed in 2008, initially as The Cartunes. They released their first EP in 2011. Changing their name to Badflower, they released their first single – “Soap” in 2015. Their second single – “Animal” was released in 2016, the same year they signed with John Varvatos’ label; Republic Records. Their debut EP for Republic was released that same year. “Animal” reached number twenty eight (#28) on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart that year. Their debut album “OK, I’m Sick” was released to widespread acceptance in 2019. The single “Ghost” won iHeart Radio’s “Song of the Year” in 2020.
Badflower are lead by singer/guitarist Josh Katz and lead guitarist Joe Morrow. The band is rounded out by bassist Alex Espiritu and Anthony Sonetti on drums. They have a reputation for being a great live band and this livestream should prove no differently. If you like edgy Hard Rock/Punk and good guitar work I urge you to check them out.
Badflower “Christmas is Canceled” livestream tickets are available here and are $20.00 (US.) The show starts at 12PM Pacific Time (PST.) Be sure and get yours now – tickets may be limited!
